"Some people are willing to do it the easy way, and some people want to do it the hard way."-- Dave Elman
Eric G. Schnieder, D. Min.

Biz (life) lessons from a very famous Hypnotist

Dave Elman, a very famous hypnotist, used to say to his clients,"some people want to do it the hard way and some want to do it the easy way!"

It's just too true!

It is so easy to get caught up in the emotional/mental drama of how difficult it is to fill your  practice.  To worry about the money, to worry about the bills, or to just plain worry.

It doesn't take much to get discouraged when the appointment book is not full or to even freak out when a bunch of clients call to cancel.  So much energy spent and then not available for your practice building efforts.  While it is easy, it is not the easy way!

As you probably know when this cycle gets started it can be very challenging to stop it and change directions.

But fortunately you are armed with knowledge that can already help you.
You can change and vector your energies in any direction you want&.the question is, do you know where to vector them?

Remember it is easier to change the direction of your energy then it is to stop it.

So, quickly start focusing on your practice and what it needs!

Here are a few things to get busy with:

People need to know you exist: lets look for some free forms of promotion and publicity

a. Free talks: one client of mine gives talks at a local coop
b. Give free talks at service organizations, ( they are always looking for speakers)
c. Check out your local chamber, of commerce and join. List events in their calendar, give talks at their events and go to their net working events.
d. Use press releases to local papers and radio stations
e. Ask some friends to host a Tupperware party ( Acupuncture party)
f. Send out postcards to long lost clients/patients

These are just some suggestions and by all means you SHOULD be engaging in these kinds of things most of the time.

Now get going and vector your energies where there will some return on your investment!
