From The Editor
From The Editor:
Well I hope you can find the theme in today's news selections. While Alien
Sheng is a prolific writer it isn't the American Chronicle. But instead on all
my alerts and searching these are a few of the news stories that began with
"Acupuncture can help".
That's the one thing I do not forget. The one tenet of my continued
association with this community: Acupuncture can help. It helped me. I always
took the chance to tell any potential patient that called that I don't know what
it can do for you but it helped me.
So acupuncture changed my life in some small meaningful way. But I wonder how
does it change your life when it becomes your life? Anyone got any stories for
me? Before and after as you will? How has acupuncture helped you?
J
Cheers all!!

News of Interest!
The stress and rush of modern daily life can lead to a disorder known as
chronic fatigue. Acupuncture and chronic fatigue are a good match because
acupuncture is excellent for resolving the causes. --Alien Sheng The American Chronicle
Calling the acupuncture facial cosmetic procedure a facelift may be a
misnomer, but it is nevertheless an effective method for improving the
appearance and health of our skin, and leads to better health overall. In fact,
if used with a good topical skin care treatment product that helps retain moisture and
protect the skin from environmental chemicals, you may be able to avoid going
under the knife. -- Sharling The Open Press
The use of complimentary methods for palliative care can offer relief in
people suffering from pain in diabetes mellitus. One such method is Acupuncture.
Diabetics sometimes suffer from pain, especially in the legs. Acupuncture has
been used to help these symptoms without recourse to medication. Acupuncture is
a Chinese therapy that has been used for centuries. -- Kemi Ilori The Daily Sun (Nigeria)
Dwyane Wade says he's scared of needles. Once again, though, they're helping
him get ready for the playoffs. Bothered by knee tendinitis, the Miami Heat
guard is utilizing acupuncture therapy to help relieve the pain. Wade missed 23
games with a dislocated left shoulder before returning last week, but as the
postseason looms, it's the knee - not the shoulder - that's causing him the most
angst. -- Tim Reynolds Ocala.com
The treatment for drug addiction is an ongoing concern of society. It has
become clear to many that the threat of incarceration is not doing much to slow
the illegal use of drugs and offers little hope for a long term cure for the
resulting problems of addiction. In recent years, alternative medicine has
become a logical place to look for solutions as the conventional medical
establishment has made little if any progress. Acupuncture is one of these
alternative choices. -- Alien Sheng The American Chronicle

The Coaching
Corner... Where Spiritual Wisdom Meets Business Common
Sense.
Greetings Dear Ones,
I would like to take a moment here to acknowledge all of those that have been
effected by the recent events in Virginia. Many are looking back in hindsight
suggesting that something could have been done. That someone should have reached
out to this young man and that would have made a difference. The fact is,
hindsight is 20/20 and many did in fact try and reach out to him and he just
wasn't available to be reached. So let us drop the would haves, could haves,
should haves and simply morn the loss of all of those lives, placing our focus
on the victims and their families and friends.
And now for today's coaching corner!
DE-MOTIVATORS!
Having coached hundreds of acupuncturists there are certain things that
show up over and over again that de-motivate private practitioners from practice
building!
Here are some of the things that I have learned that can really
drain your energy.
1. Not really knowing why you want to succeed in the
first place. Many practitioners do not spend enough time thinking about all the
benefits of a successful practice. And if the do, they don't reconnect with that
often enough.
2. Many disconnect or never connect to the joy and pleasure of creating a
successful practice. They keep "practice building" as a pain mindset,
contaminating their own energy around practice building activities.
3. Do not look at the painful side of not taking the actions they need to
take in order to have a successful practice.
4. Forget to acknowledge their past and present successes and wins.
5. Do not create yearly, quarterly, monthly and weekly goals.
6. Are inconsistent with their practice building activities.
7. Get caught up and stopped up when they make mistakes instead of learning
from them, correcting them and taking new actions.
8. Do not surround themselves with the kind of positive support they need.
9. Forget to take care of themselves, don't rest enough, eat well enough and
play enough.
There is an old saying that says...Even if you are on the
right track you will get run over if you just sit there!
Many
blessings to your success,
Dr. Eric
