From The Editor
From the Editor:
What an array of news this week from Shaolin Monks turning their temple into
a resort to televised approval for ear stapling.
And can someone tell me
how EFT is any different from acupressure? And what has to be a personal
favorite: did Street Sense get a leg up in the Kentucky Derby from an
acupuncture treatment? Man, I hope so.
Here's hoping everyone had a great week and, as always, please send me any
news you want printed. My email is editor@theacupreneur.com and I do try
to answer each and every inquiry I get.
Enjoy!

lies in the Songshan mountains in central China, far from Shoalhaven, on the

On Wins And Needles - Acupuncture part of
Street Sense's holistic routine. The winning path for Street Sense in the
Kentucky Derby did not begin on the rail, as most people think. It
might have begun two days before the race with an acupuncture treatment to
promote healthy, open "paths" through the horse's body. Read the rest here.

The Coaching
Corner... Where Spiritual Wisdom Meets Business Common
Sense.
Greetings Dear Ones,
This week began the Urban
Zen Initiative - fashionista Donna Karan's brainchild addressing dignity in
our hospitals....
Being a part of this initiative has a lot of perks - not only do I get to
influence it's direction...I also get to hang with some of the giants in the
health and wellness field.
The gentle giant and popularizer of NLP and
now the leader in the life coaching industry, Tony (Anthony) Robbins; Dr. Mehmet
Oz - Oprah's doctor; Dr. Dean Ornish; Dr.Christiane Northrup, M.D. -- a woman's
best friend; Rev. Dr. Micheal Beckwith - from "The Secret"; yoga guru Rodney Yee
and wife Colleen Saidman Yee, and many others, but I single them out
because of what I learned from them during the party.
It was a great
experience meeting them, talking with them and exchanging ideas with them, but
beyond that it was learning from them by watching them.
Teachers use
words and experiences to teach, but where the real lessons often come from is
what we can learn when they are not teaching and can simply watch them and be
with them.
Here are some of the things I observed:
During the
performance by Patti Labelle, Tony Robbins positioned himself at a wall with his
wife as if to say I know I can see from anywhere in the room...let me be mindful
that others' view may be inhibited if I stand in the middle of the
room.
Dr.Oz was especially gracious and focused on his wife Lisa. During
Patti's song, Lisa rested her head on Mehmet's chest....quite sweet and
romantic.
Then there's my new best friend, Christiane Northrup, who
shared with me her new meditation: fly fishing. And she really knows the lessons
of not taking things and ourselves so seriously.
Rodney Yee's loving
connection to his wife Colleen.....and hers right back to him. A wink and a
smile and a gentle caress of her arm, communicating his love and care for
her.
It brought me back to the message that I work so hard to live by and
teach to others....
Live, laugh, love and learn!
Remember, keep
your eyes open...who knows what you will learn!
The Urban Zen Initiative continues until Thursday May 24th. For
