The Coaching
Corner... Where Spiritual Wisdom Meets Business Common
Sense.
Greetings Dear Ones!
Relationships, relationships,
relationships!
Yes, a website is
important!
Yes, a biz card is
important!
Yes, a brochure is
important!
Yes, speaking and writing are
important!
But the most important aspects
of building a successful practice are relationships!
Become a resource of
referral sources for your patients...Have relationships with doctors whose
philosophy and practice reflect similar values to your own.
Here are the steps:
-
Get a list of local
docs
-
Start a letter writing
campaign i.e.:
Dear Dr. so and so,
I am looking for physians to
refer my clients to.
My name is ___________and I am an
acupuncturist who works with ____________ and am looking for physicians to refer
my clients to.
I would like to get together with you to discuss
your practice and your practice philosophy.
Please let me know if you
would care to meet.
I will call your office next week to schedule
an appointment with you.
Sincerely,
___________
You will notice that I am not
asking for referrals in this letter - I used to get letters from psychiatrists
all the time that were asking for referrals...they went right into the circle
file!!! None of them expressed any interest in my work!
Remember, according to the
latest research, 51% of physicians are amenable to referring their patients to
you and all you need are a couple!!!
Send out letters
quarterly...work the closest docs to you. And then CALL and follow
up!!!
Take action...don't just sit
there...
Many
blessings to your success!
