From the Editor:
Happy weekend all and hope that you had a productive and entertaining week. I, of course, worked like a dog except for when I didn't. My official title of "flunkie" has been passed around and agreed upon by everyone at my office. I actually hear my boss tell someone on the phone "Don't worry Amy can take care of everything." That's always a little scary to hear.
I did hear that one of my bosses went to a hypnotist this weekend. I don't think he got what he expected, but on the other hand since I suspect that what he expected was nothing he did get what he thought. Either way I don't think he'll be going back. But I have referred him to what I know to be a very good local (to him) acupuncturist. Hopefully he can find more than he expects there. I would hate to see him disappointed because I at least always hope for more than I expect.
I do hope you all have a fantastic weekend and manage to find some joy and fun in the wide world this coming week. Please send me an email if there's anything you've got that needs to be seen or heard.
Cheers all!

Greetings Dear Ones,
Yes, it is true...websites are important! But perhaps not in the usual way you might think.
Many people struggle with SEO and content and all the rest hoping to use their website as an online marketing tool...but the truth is, you have to market off line and your website will be the second step in getting to know you right after someone receives your business card.
In truth a website is only part of a marketing strategy and is a way for a potential client to get to know you before making an investment.
So in order to make a website effective it must match the look and feel of your practice.
For instance I have a client who is very medically oriented - pain, muscular skeletal issues etc....and the website looks very spa like.
This incongruity will cost him over time.
Your website should be an online version of the look and feel of your actual practice.
If you are struggling at all with your marketing materials here is a special offer from The Acupreneur.
Right now, through September 30, 2008, you can get 20% off the usual rates for website design by going to www.SSquaredStudio.com

Don't delay. Save time, save money and invest in yourself, your practice and your future!!!!!
Many blessings to your success,
Dr. E

Acupuncture for All - Affordable treatment in group settings
is catching on. Acupuncture is inherently low cost and adaptable to any setting.
The cost of disposable needles is just a few dollars per treatment. In the
United States, however, private treatment rooms and lengthy one-on-one sessions
with practitioners increase costs. At WCA, patients are scheduled at 10-minute
intervals and are treated in a shared area. Payment is on a $15 to $35 sliding
scale. The clinic sees some 400 patients a week at an average rate of $19 per
visit.
